hard to believe, but on
March 31st, 2008
we turned 5!
On
behalf of the Vega Family, Management and

We
believe the need
is immediate.
We
believe its time
to get serious.
We
believe that together,
we can make tomorrow
a better place for
our children.
We believe it starts
with each of us.
Hacienda de Vega is very
proud to announce that
beginning today we will be
introducing a series of
eco-friendly initiatives
aimed at reducing waste,
recycling resources and
ultimately, helping our
environment.
We
will also be offering
discounts and promotions to
motivate our customers to
join us in our efforts to be
a little more "green".
No, we're not gonna go
"tree-huggers" on you,
but we do believe that
with a little effort and
a few adjustments to the
way we do things, we can
truly make a difference
and help our planet.
Here are some of our
immediate ideas:
-
We
will no longer use white
foam containers for "doggie
bags" and to-go orders.
Recycled, wax-lined options
are being researched.
-
We will only serve water
to those guests that
request it.
-
We are now donating
our used cooking oil to
be used as bio-fuel.
-
HdV will offer a 10%
discount on all to-go
orders for customers
that bring their own
containers.
-
We are working with local
authorities to establish a
ground water recapture
program to be used for
irrigation.
-
Premier
parking spaces will
be assigned to vehicles
displaying the "California
Super Ultra-Low Emission
Vehicle (SULEV)" decals.
These
and other simple ideas
will be implemented in the
weeks to come. We will keep
you posted. If you have any
